Weekend Update
Well, the weekend went somewhat decently. There were a few minor issues. But for the most part things went well.
I do believe I imbibed slightly too much alcohol on both Friday and Saturday. Well, maybe not too much, but...Well, you know. Friday was just sort of an unexpected thing for me, which started out with me dropping off a lawn mower and ended in me coming in second place in a poker game. Though apparently not all had discussed the fact that second place is supposed to break even, or that was the agreed on house rule. Whatever. No biggie.
Saturday was plagued by not getting nearly as much done as I would have liked in the household chores department. Though I did manage to do a tidy sum of laundry. Saturday evening brought me back to the beer and whatnot and some good times were had by all at the social in honor of Chuck's cousin. Was a packed house and everyone seemed to be enjoying it.
Things got a little screwy after that though as "the group" decided that it was some wildly good idea to go to the bar, which it of course never is. I did happen across a couple of acquaintances there though which was fine. Though apparently having some conversation with a girl that you know about certain acquaintances - whom are mutual to you both - being...Well, themselves...Is a surefire sign that she is hitting on you and that you should, "Go and have some fun." I find the girl in question friendly, but in no way am I attracted to her and also see nothing fun about one night stands or picking up random chicks at the bar. Needless to say I was ditched by the 8 or so people I arrived at the bar with, so I walked home. Not a far walk really and as it happens a friend of mine was doing the exact same thing about 1200 km west of me, and phoned me at the time. So we had a good chat. I had a nice night time bike ride and that was that. My position has been solidified even more that the bar sucks, and that bar in particular is one of the most idiotic places I've ever set foot in.
Sunday went fairly decent even with Saturday nights, 3 mile bike ride and the sore ass that came with it. Keep in mind that I've not been on a bike much in a good 10 years, so yes there was soreness. My knees were almost locked in place when I woke up in the morning. Anyway, back to Sunday. Got the AC put in at mom's place. Then kind of sat around there for a good portion of the afternoon. Had a nap on the couch. Waiting to once again attempt a task that was aborted on Saturday, then subsequently on Sunday. Oh well, another day perhaps. Watched part of Return of the King with Aaron and Diana in the evening and then came home and went to bed.
So all in all, a good weekend, excepting the middleish part. Hopefully the week will go decently.
