Just a Semi-random Thought

Often in life we tend to burn bridges in the metaphorical sense, and I got to thinking about this. As often as it seems like a good idea at the time, just remember if you burn the bridge you may have to swim for it later.

Ramble Ramble

So here it is, October 22 already. Dunno where the summer got to. Had a nice fishing trip up to the ducks. Other than that weekend the summer was mostly a quiet one. Oddly enough, I was so excited to be home for the summer after working out of town all winter. But once it came along no one seemed to be around much, or wanting to do anything. I would have liked to have gone camping a bit more. Oh well. Still had some good times.

And now it seems I'm going to be an uncle for the sixth time now. That's pretty awesome I think. And the Saskatoon gang should be coming out in a month or so for a visit too, which will be nice. I haven't seen them since the spring.

Got me a new sweet ass computer. I'm happy with it. Really happy. 24" x 2 of wonderful screen real estate. Can't complain at all. Poor old lappy is gonna sit in the corner and collect dust now most of the time. At least until January.

What happens in January. Well, it's off to my "favorite" city ever to start another six month rotation out of town. Ah well, at least there's the per-diems and millage again. That's always bonus. I guess I'll be there long enough to maybe check out some good shows and get in touch with some peeps from way back that I've lost touch with in the last few years.

Anyway. I am out of ramble now. Laterz.

2006? That was a while back!

Wow! Sorry if anyone's been actually checking here frequently for updates or new posts as there haven't been any. The whole past year and a half have been just wierd. I'm trying to get settled into a new job, and a new home of late. Maybe I'll find some time to write down some thoughts here once in a while again. The whole Facebook thing, came along out of the blue, but it's not really that great other than for posting pictures and the like. No room to throw down random thoughts or anything really. And all the applications and silly little time wasting games just don't appeal to me in the least. (I guess I should say most of them - there are a couple that are okay.)

Anyway, It's late and I'm tired. Dauphin for another month and a half then home for six months! Woohoo!

And from the darkness...

I'm still alive, still hopeful, still kickin. Just in case anyone was wondering. I've had a weird year, things have generally not gone my way. But I'm optimistic that things are about to change and once more I will take life by the horns and put the wind back into my sails and boldly go onwards and upwards and take what the world has to offer. I'm still alive, and hopeful, still kickin!

I'm in a mood to write here, but it will have to wait a bit. Stay tuned, because today, the blog, tomorrow the world!!!!

Yeah well, I've been busy!

I was gearing up for a rather lengthy post the other day, but was beat when I got home. IN all honesty there's not much that's really world shaking for me to tell. I may have a few funny quips and quotes from my summer, but my summer was lack luster, so there's not much to tell. It's not like I've put my house up for sale and not really said why? Or where I'm going when I sell it. Besides I think my landlord would be super pissed if I put the house up for sale. Though that happened somewhere just recently. There are some high tech, low down dirty scams going on out there. Keep your head up for crying out loud.

Hey, that's half decent. It was more than one or two sentences so that will have to tide you over for now.

Still Coming Soon!

I hope to spew forth some sort of post here soon. I reckon it'll be a long one, but am not sure. It may also be somewhat convoluted, unless I just break up the things I talk about into more than one post. For now I'm just going to add a link to a site called boingboing.net. It's a multiple contributor blog that post lots of interesting little tidbits, and intelligently funny bits from other sources on the net. I find it very interesting. Hope you enjoy it too.
